Why the Planning Council

The Planning Council serves as an independent and objective information, education, research, and consultative resource to the community. Our goal is to assist our community realize an equitable and efficient delivery of health and human services. Clients trust the Planning Council to get fair, unbiased results.

The Planning Council offers a diverse array of planning, research, evaluation, technical assistance, training, program development, policy analysis, and program design activities.

The Planning Council engages the larger community in identifying and addressing important health and human services issues through planning, research, and evaluation. Our work contributes toward building a community that: 

  • fosters a sense of connectedness and interdependence among its residents; 
    instills an individual and collective responsibility to create partnerships and collaborations for community building; 
  • honors people for their diversity; 
  • is enhanced by recognizing the strengths of all residents and the assets which naturally occur in all neighborhoods; and 
  • celebrates its children as the future and recognizes that strong families and quality early childhood development are the best insurance for a healthy and prosperous future for all its members.
